Patrick Alasović Self-DefenseIdentity for Frankfurt-based female self-defense trainer Patrick Alasovic. After thinking about how to come up with a design, that is not as brutal or aggressive as most solutions in that field, his identity draws on a comic-like aesthetic. Humorous illustrations are combined with a simple typography to loosen up the heaviness of the topic.

Stand der Dinge (WIP-Show)In summer 2014 the Faculty of Design in Darmstadt, Germany held it’s first Work-In-Progress show, which featured work from all years of students. This allowed visitors to get a glimpse of the process that is involved within the creation of creative work. The unfinished/process aspect was used for the identity of the show. A bespoke typeface was deconstructed and applied to all kinds of media.

No Sweet Without Sweat (Degree-Show)Summer 2013 was an extremely hot period, which lead to the concept for the visual identity of the degree show. The poster was supposed to encourage students to fight through the term and the catalogue “When the sweating is over…” shows the results from all the hard work that has been put in. Photographed, typeset, printed and bound on site, with many helping hands at the Faculty of Design in Darmstadt.
